A 26 inch men;s schwinn ranger mountain bike or a Columbia 26 inch mens silver ridge mountain bike? I mean in terms of qualty, riding, and setup plus durability. I am leaning toward the schwinn because it has a steel frame, water bottle holder, a lot of good reviews, and the schwinn name is good.

I’m looking for a decent quality mountain bike, but one that’s reasonably priced. I want to be able to take it riding in the woods, but also be decent for cruising from here to there. I’ve been looking at bikes at places like REI but the cheapest ones i found there as far as mountain bikes go are like 0. I want something that’s quite a bit cheaper in price than that.

Anyone have any suggestions as to brands of bikes and/or where to buy them? Preferably a store where I could physically go and see the a bike.

i commute a total of 20 miles a day 5-6 days a week. this is city riding and my foot will be leaving the pedal alot at stop lights. i plan on riding longer distances in the future. i am having a bit of trouble finding road specific shoes in my price range and size. i have a wide foot. i have found the sidi megas and they do fit but im just getting into the sport and im not ready to drop 150 on shoes. i have found some pearls that fit and are a steal but they are mtb. i just have to get out of these clips before they kill me.

I ride my mountain bike about 10 miles every day on the streets around my house and typically average 15-16 miles per hour. I know that the tires add a lot of drag, so I was wondering what my speed would be on a road bike that had less drag. I am thinking of getting a nice road bike, but I am not concerned with aero-bars or other drag reducing gear.

The third Downhill World Cup Competition of this summer’s 2010 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup was held in Leogang / AUT which is a new World cup location. In the women’s race Sabrina Jonnier was the fastest with a time of 4:52.70 min. In the men’s category the South African Greg Minnaar (4:05.65 min) won with less than a second before the Gee Atherton (GB). Next World Cup race will be in Champéry (SUI) on July24, 2010.

I am 5 foot 5 inches tall. I would like to find a mens mountain bike and am having trouble finding an inexpensive bike my size. I have been looking at 26 inch bikes. I believe that is the wheel size. Is it possible to get a good bike for around 0.00 for a beginner mountain bike rider. I will be mostly going to state parks with relatively easy trails.

I’m bringing the ‘94 Gary Fisher Tasajarra out of retirement for the bike segment of an upcoming race. The tires I have on now have some serious tread so I need to change them out. 6′5" 230lbs and I’m looking for all of the help I can get against my much lighter friends. Can anybody provide me with some specifics?
