I’m trying to get a mountain bike online for cheap, but don’t know what dimensions to look for since kids bikes look the same as mens bikes with out a frame of reference? I’m 6′ 1" tall and about 200 lbs…please help. These people online have all told me I would fit comfortably on their bikes w ith the frames ranging from 21" - 26"??? I think they are just trying to sell their bike to some sap :)

I’m a junior in high school, and I live a little under 4 miles from my school. I plan on riding a bike to school, but I have a huge mountain bike. My route to school isn’t that busy, so to say, but mountain bikes technically are meant to ride on mountains. Would it be safe or lawful to drive in around Boston, MA?

I’m in the market for a cheap mountain bike. obviously I’d like things like disc brakes and rear suspension but price takes precedence. I plan on mostly doing normal commuting type riding but also urban assault type riding and wheelies. I was thinking about getting one of the Next mtn bikes from walmart for 0 but have ready some bad reviews. What are some good used mountain bikes to look for and where?

Should a ‘beginner’ cyclist get a road bike? I’m not very good at cycling; mainly I’m afraid of sharing the road with cars and also tend to overreact to potholes and cracks in the ground. I’m also pretty weak on climbing. On the other hand, it’s my objective to overcome these obstacles and eventually be able to ride long city trails. Should I start with a mountain bike and build up my skills first, or should I just go ahead and get a road bike since that’s my end goal anyway?

I have a 26" Mens’ NEXT PowerX Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike that I purchased online at Wal-Mart. I took for a ride the other week and was fine and got it out the other day and for some reason it seems like it wants to shift gears or at least I think that is what it is doing but not sure. I just hear a clicking sound down around the chain and not sure what it is? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I want a mountain bike but i dont know if i should get one with just front suspension or front and back. What do you think and why?
