My pedals drag on the ground on moderate turns and it’s almost impossible to pump without hitting rocks when mountain biking. In the vertical position, the bottom pedal is only 3 inches from the ground. How low should they be? From what I remember, last fall I did the standard sizing tests in the store and it is my size. I’m 5′11" 155lbs and the bike is 26".

This tech tip shows you how to set up your mountain bike to achieve optimal performance on the trail.

I’m looking for a good mountain bike (new) for about 00 and I’m not entirely sure where to start and would appreciate anyone who has any information that would help. Any info on some good, reliable brands or even specific bikes would be great! Thanks!

okay, so recently, i have started riding my dads bike when i get bored, and i decided it was something i really liked doing. his bike is a schwinn racing bike, and considering its a mens bike, its a bit big and uncomfortable for me. so i got my own bike yesterday. its not a racer, its just a casual riding bike. i think its called a cruiser. anyways, i want to get into stuff like going on long rides and group rides. maybe do things like critical mass and stuff. i plan on getting an all terrain bike bike or a mountain bike or something like that soon so i have a little variety in riding styles, but since im new to this whole thing, i need advice on basically everything, what type of bike to get, how to build up endurence so i can ride so many miles in one day, how to maintain my bike, basically any information pertaining to biking will be helpful here. thanks.
also, the cruiser i got, i was wondering what type of terrain it can handle, is it mainly just flat roads or can it do some trails? its a huffy brand cruiser.

I have a Treck mountain bike. I can do a wheelie for about 5 meters(about 15 feet) but then I fall back on my front wheel. When that happens i start pedaling faster, but i lean forward a bit. Should i lean back and paddle faster, and could i learn the Wheelie or should i change my tactic. I go on small front and about 5 back pedaling ring.

I would just like to know the year this bike was manufactured and also how much I should sell this for?

nice ad about the marzocchi mountain bike, even shows a little bit about how they’re made and stuff.

Hi, I’m moving to the snow and want to build a mountin fixie. Since there aren’t many of these out there, I will have to build this one myself. I was wondering if I could fix the rear wheel without having to rebuild it. Or maybe there is a retailer on the web that sells fixed back wheels. Also are there specific hubs I need special for a mountain bike? Anything other advice, comments, rants, raves….?

Thanks a bunch.
